Hi, I am Abiola
Abiola Adenugba is a visual artist born and based in Nigeria working in the lens based medium. Her works covers a range of styles from documentary, Street, Portraits and Sport Photography . She is driven by a desire to tell stories and evoke emotion in her audience. She believes it’s important to record daily life and the seemingly mundane things that people don’t pay attention to. She is a member of the black women photographer network, an alumni of the VII academy. She is presently focusing on topics like the contribution of women to the development of the economy through their daily routine as well as the importance of their work, She also visually document events and daily issues in other to give the public an honest and emotional perspective of the world.
She also hosted an online exhibition tagged Humanity in Monochrome series 2019.
Had a Group Exhibition of her work at the Alliance Française Ibadan on People and Survival in 2022, And also in Lome Togo in 2023,at the Institut Française had an exhibition with the theme "You see me" Masculine and Feminine Perspectives.
